Hydrangea paniculata Limelight builds a large upright rounded shrub for a broad border, hedge, or specimen planting. Its dense cone-shaped panicles open pale lime green, turn creamy white, and mature with a deeper pink flush mixed with green.
Strong upright stems carry flowers for fresh bouquets or dried arrangements. Give the shrub moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade, and allow room for its mature spread.
It can cause a skin allergy and is harmful if eaten by dogs and cats; it is also listed as a problem for horses.
