Grow it in full sun or partial shade and water when the soil surface dries, letting excess water drain away. Use a balanced container feed during active growth without overfeeding. Pinch young shoots in spring, remove spent flower clusters through summer, and shorten leggy stems before overwintering. Aphids, whiteflies, spider mites, or mealybugs may appear in sheltered conditions, while good airflow and drainage reduce botrytis and root rot.
