Achillea millefolium Sunny Seduction is an upright, mounding herbaceous perennial approximately 45–75 cm high and 30–60 cm wide. Its finely dissected, aromatic green leaves create a feathery texture beneath broad, flattened compound flower clusters. Ochre-yellow buds open bright lemon yellow and gradually soften to pastel yellow, providing a long display from June to September and attracting butterflies and other pollinating insects.
Grow it in full sun for the strongest stems and richest flowering, in lean, dry to moderately moist but well-drained chalk, loam, or sandy soil. It tolerates drought, poor soil, urban conditions, deer browsing, and maritime exposure once established, but rich wet soil encourages floppy growth and stem rot. Deadhead after the first flush for repeat flowers, cut spent stems to basal growth, and divide every two to three years. It is useful in sunny borders, gravel and prairie plantings, cottage and seaside gardens, and as a fresh or dried cut flower.
