Rounded clusters of lilac-pink flowers with brown-speckled upper petals appear on Rhododendron Roseum Elegans from late spring into early summer, above olive-green evergreen foliage.
This vigorous shrub develops a dense, columnar-upright screen for sheltered garden boundaries. Grow it in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil in partial shade, or in full sun where the ground will not dry out.
Mulch annually with leaf mold and protect the shrub from strong winds. This plant is toxic if eaten, so keep it away from children, pets, and grazing animals.
