Little Lady English lavender is a compact evergreen shrub that forms a neat rounded dome of aromatic silver-gray foliage. Prolific pale lilac-blue flower spikes rise above the mound in summer, bringing fragrance and color to sunny borders, path edges, gravel gardens, and patio containers.
Plant it in full sun and lean, sharply drained soil. Allow the soil to dry between waterings, and protect the crown from winter wet. Lightly shape in spring, then remove spent flower stems after bloom without cutting into bare old wood.
Its naturally small scale, drought tolerance after establishment, and long-lived foliage make it especially useful where space is limited.
