Geum Tempo Coral is a compact avens selected for a tight habit, sturdy short stems, clean green foliage, and an exceptional number of coral-red flowers. The semi-double blooms rise to about 30 cm and return in summer after the main spring display.
Its warm color and neat 25 cm-wide mound work beautifully at the front of borders, along paths, in pollinator plantings, and in patio containers. The blooms attract beneficial insects while the foliage remains attractive through the growing season.
Grow Tempo Coral in full sun or light partial shade in fertile, moisture-retentive, well-drained loam. Water during dry spells, but allow the surface to begin drying between waterings. Established plants need little feeding on ordinary garden soil.
Deadhead faded clusters to encourage more flowers. Divide rooted rosettes in spring when clumps age, and watch for geum sawfly, leaf miners, and powdery mildew.
