Weigela Bristol Snowflake forms a broad rounded framework of arching branches clothed in opposite ovate green leaves. From creamy buds, a profusion of gleaming white bell to goblet-shaped flowers opens along the shoots in late spring and early summer.
The vigorous deciduous shrub gives a bright flowering accent to cottage borders, mixed shrub beds and informal screens. Its spreading habit and white bloom combine well with blue geraniums, nepeta and restrained evergreen structure.
Grow it in fertile moist but well-drained chalk, clay, loam or sand in sun or partial shade. Water during establishment and prolonged dry weather, avoid waterlogging, mulch with compost, and prune flowered wood after bloom. No direct toxicity evidence was found, so safety fields remain unclassified.
