Clematis Błękitny Anioł is an accepted deciduous climber with green ternate leaves and pale rosy-blue flowers tinted lilac. The crinkled blooms have yellow to yellow-green stamens and open from June through August. Train its petiole-clinging stems over a trellis, fence, arbor, or pergola.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in moisture-retentive, well-drained chalk, clay, loam, or sandy soil. Keep the base cool and shaded. It also grows in a large patio container. Cut stems back to strong buds in late winter or early spring. The plant may irritate human skin and is harmful if eaten by rabbits, so wear gloves when handling.
