Laurus Nobilis is a pyramidal evergreen shrub with leathery, glossy dark-green leaves and small, fragrant, pale yellow-green spring flowers in dense clusters.
Typically growing 10-30 feet tall and 5-20 feet wide, it can be clipped into a hedge, screen, or topiary and also thrives as a long-lived container houseplant.
Grow it in sun or partial shade in rich, moist, well-drained soil and do not let the root ball dry completely. Fresh or dried leaves flavor cooking, but whole leaves should not be eaten, and the plant is toxic to dogs, cats, and horses.
