Green leaves on Actinidia kolomikta Adam develop white sections in May and pink coloring in June, creating a bright screen on a pergola, trellis, or fence. Small white flowers carry a light lemon fragrance and provide pollen for female kolomikta vines.
Train its twining stems on a sturdy support in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Full sun brings out the strongest leaf color, while a sheltered site protects early growth. Prune in late fall or winter, or shorten partly ripened new shoots in summer.
