Eleven pure white flowers gather in each truss on Rhododendron Hachmanns Picobello, with wavy petal edges and a deep red marking on the upper lobe. Glossy dark green evergreen foliage forms a compact, broad-rounded mound.
Grow it in dappled shade and moist, acidic, well-drained soil. Keep its shallow roots evenly moist, apply ericaceous fertilizer in March and after flowering, and prune only to tidy wayward shoots. This plant is toxic if eaten; keep it away from children, pets, and grazing animals.
