Rhododendron Cunninghams White is a robust, broad evergreen shrub with dark green oblanceolate leaves. Mauve to pink-flushed buds open in late spring into loose trusses of white funnel-shaped flowers, each marked with fine yellow-green or brown spotting on the upper lobe.
Grow it in moist but well-drained, humus-rich acidic soil in partial shade with shelter from harsh sun and drying winds. Mulch with leaf mould, water deeply during establishment and dry periods, and prune lightly after flowering only when needed.
