Broad dark green leaves rise from pale pink-orange petioles in Chlorophytum orchidastrum Green Orange, creating a compact upright clump for sheltered patio pots and shaded tropical plantings.
Give it bright filtered light and moist but well-drained loam, keeping hot direct sun off the leaves. Water freely during active growth, then reduce watering while growth slows. Small greenish-white star flowers may appear near the center in spring and summer.
