Rubus idaeus Glen Ample is a vigorous, spine-free summer-fruiting raspberry bred for heavy mid-season yields. Its upright canes carry long fruiting laterals with large, firm, bright red berries that combine excellent flavour with good presentation and suitability for fresh use or freezing.
Grow it outdoors in full sun in fertile, slightly acidic to neutral soil that remains moist but drains freely. Train canes between horizontal wires, mulch the root zone and water during dry periods. After harvest, remove every cane that has fruited at ground level and tie in the strongest new canes for the next crop.
