Rubus idaeus TulaMagic produces large, firm, bright red raspberries with a sweet, aromatic flavor from June through July. Its vigorous upright canes arch naturally as they grow, forming a productive edible hedge with white late-spring flowers that provide food for visiting pollinators.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in rich, moist but well-drained soil. Space plants about 80 cm apart, support the canes, and water regularly through flowering and harvest. After picking, remove the canes that carried fruit and retain strong new canes for the following season. The thorny stems can scratch skin, so wear gloves when pruning or tying them in.
