Immense white flowers make Clematis ‘Snow Queen’ a luminous choice for trellises, fences, wall borders, and generous containers. The broad, overlapping, wavy-edged tepals open with a soft mauve tint, mature to white around dramatic red anthers, and may carry pale pink stripes in the later display.
This deciduous climber flowers in early summer and again from late summer into early autumn. Train it through a sturdy support in full sun or partial shade, keeping the base and roots cool in moisture-retentive, well-drained soil.
Its sap may irritate skin, and the plant is harmful to pets if eaten; wear gloves when handling.
